  • Product Description
  • A white, crystalline powder that is easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol, with a natural cinnamon aroma.

Potassium cinnamate, a new type of fragrance product, boasts excellent aroma-preserving properties. Typically used as a blending ingredient, it enhances the fresh, delicate scent of the primary fragrance components. Additionally, potassium cinnamate exhibits strong inhibitory effects against a wide range of bacteria, molds, and yeasts, effectively extending the shelf life of food products.

      Molecular formula: C 9 H 7 KO 2

      Safety and Practicality

The oral LD50 of potassium cinnamate in rats is 5.58–6.78 g/kg, classifying it as a non-toxic product. After absorption by the human body, potassium cinnamate is metabolized into phenylalanine, which is then excreted. A small portion of phenylalanine can be further converted into tyrosine via the enzyme phenylalanine hydroxylase, with no adverse effects observed in humans.

      Usage and Dosage

Add directly or dissolve in water before incorporating—adjust the dosage according to the product’s specific characteristics and relevant standards when using in different products.
